This is cool, I’ve been drinking about this much in water and smoothies most mornings. I’m glad I’ve been on the right track. About 2 years ago I started to make an effort to drink a big glass of water everytime I pee.

So do you go pee like every 15 minutes in the morning after drinking all that water?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the question.

I drink a bunch of water first thing when I get up. Usually about a 1 quart mason jar full with a little lemon. That can take 20 minutes to a couple of hours. Then I’ll have another 32 ounces of smoothie.

Anymore I end up just having water and a pretty hearty smoothie up until lunch time then I’ll eat a meal.

And yes then I drink water off and on the rest of the day.

Do the best you can with water. It takes some time to get used to.

Can you eat anything during the 4 hours that you are drinking all this water? Do I still have to continue drinking water the rest of the day?

That is good advice. Everything except using a mason jar. Think about it; walking around drinking out of one of those jars. You might look like you’re drinking moonshine!

sweet i ve been doing that on my own for 3 years and if i have nt had at least 1.5 litres of water before midday i panic cos when i dont, i feel rough and stiff (affecting mobility and athletic performane) for the rest of the day! glad to hear i was on the right track…when i wake up before 8 i normally drink more but also smoothies and teas great way to add water in the morning…if you have a big comforter you sweat for hours during sleep + recovery from exercise needs water etc etc

Man, those Mason Jars are the Dolce & Gabana of drinking glasses and jars for drinking the green fuel. But where do you get them at?

BlakcberryJ: u r right. So, how do u take care of raw cruciferous vegetables: like kale etc as they do seem to interfere with “thyroid function”? And green smoothies are predominantly using Kale etc.
Interestingly, that Boutenko family that made it so popular…they cured themselves of “severe thyroid problems”.
How to take care of the constipation while consuming smoothies everyday? Banana also has this effect, I’ve seen.
RJ or Blackberry kindly throw light on these issues!

I use frozen fruit, apple and kale or spinach. My skin is softer and clearer, I’m regular and my nails and hair is longer. I am also going to add cucumber b/c of silica. Its amazing whta greens do for you in greater concentration than a salad.

Hey blackberryjuice, I’ve heard from you before on these cruciferous vegetables. Have you had any good experiences with green smoothies?

I think you mentioned starting up a green smoothie bar in New York. Are you still heading in that direction? I think it would be one of the first. Let me know so I can come for a visit.

I have found that my body simply has had to adjust to the high quality, whole, raw foods I now drink every day and now I crave the greens. Yum Yum!

be careful with the raw cruciferous vegetables, since they have goitrogens which could lead to goiter. and be careful with using bananas in green smoothies, because I became seriously constipated after using bananas as a base for my smoothies, LOL!
