The entire thing is about 628 calories, but it is HUGE!! 1/4 of that will fill a nice sized bowl. Make some! :D

Psyllium Husk comes from a plant of the genus Plantago which grows in the middle east. It is the covering of the seed and is recognized as an excellent fiber source.

Actually it’s pretty tasteless, especially when it’s not frozen. I put enough in that I can taste it though and I don’t mind it. Sometimes there are stringy bits so I blend it forever to lessen that. EXPERIMENT! Find something ya love!

that is a cool idea for a shake. i never thought of putting frozen spinach in. does it taste awful?

Hey thanx for the fruit salad. I am going to have to change a few things but I plan to try it.

drinking it before the smoothie sounds easier! I always add lemon juice to my spinach and asparagus.. ohh how I love asparagus!! I’m glad I rarely have to take a basic supplement. I know people who pop those :$

I love the psyllium husk powder! I’ve got to give you the props for sparking the need to experiment in me, and probably others too! I’m on that bandwagon with you. I haven’t had a 100 cal pack in a few days. I’m trying to feed them to my brother, it’s not working XD

Oh, also, I’ve also heard that about orange juice and spinach. You could drink like a fourth cup before drinking the smoothie? There are lots of natural enhancing combos like that – for example, calcium and iron from anything are absorbed WAY better by the body (a lot more) when your stomach is really acidic – so if you’re starving, that’s the best time to take vitamins, etc.. It kind of makes Tums sound silly – there’s added calcium, but they kill the acidity! :(

  19. antishay on January 9th, 2010 2:36 am

That’s AWESOME!! I would have never thought of almond extract for the shake… must try it. I also would like to buy the husk powder because there are times when I make a shake just with fruit (no Muscle Milk) and fiber would be good ;)

I sometimes do my fruit salad with mandarin oranges and pears too – yay! Your fruit salad sounds TOTALLY yum. Must try also.

I’m so happy the fruit salad filled you up :D I need to eat even more fruit and veggies now that I’m eating all natural :P Thanks!

I hate being bloated. I feel for you! Thank you! School is good, I’m glad the initial chaos is over, I have yet to figure out how I’m going to fit working out into the schedule so that everything flows

  22. fatty2slim on January 14th, 2010 9:04 pm

All that stuff sounds so good. I just had a comment on my protein shake video where she changed the shake a little bit and I’m going to try it too. You look so good. I’m bloated today (on my monthly) hate it.
