Can I make a smoothie with just frozen fruit and milk?

Category: Smoothie Q&A

I have frozen cherries, strawberries, and peaches. I also have milk. Is it possible for me to make a smoothie? If so it would be great if you could include how much of things to use. I want to make 2-4 servings if possible.

I would think yes, but it wouldn’t taste so sweet.

If you happen to have some plain yogurt around the house, that might help too. I used milk, frozen fruit and yogurt in my easy healthy smoothie recipe here: http://www.chewonthatblog.com/2009/01/12/easy-healthy-smoothies-recipe/.

You can try and compensate for no yogurt by adding ice for a little more texture.

Yes of course. They might be a little thin but they should still taste great. If you have some yogurt, that would make them thicker and sweeter.

I use the following recipe and it tastes great. On top of that, it can’t be any simpler.

    2 8-ounce cartons strawberry yogurt
1 16-ounce bag frozen sweetened strawberries
    1-1/2 cups milk

Place all ingredients into a blender. Cover and process until smooth.
