I decided to buy this item because of the leak problem I had with my Breville 600 (which was a phenomenal blender but had one major issue).

First unit I received from Amazon arrived dead, took me over three weeks to get a replacement, I have to say the Amazon reseller was honest once they started responding to my emails. Anyway, I finally got the second unit and started using it immediately. It doesn’t do too good of a job with smoothies, very short (30 sec) cycle not long enough which means you have to wait near it to re-start the second cycle. Once finished it starts an alarm which would not turn off on it own without a user input, very annoying for me. Worst of all, the glass bowl cracked after a few weeks of usage, even though I only used simple smoothie material, such as frozen fruit, fresh fruit, juice, etc. Bowl is too big and wide for small size work. I wish I can return it but I know the reseller will not take it back so I am stuck with it. My recommendation is that stay away from this one.

Outstanding product. Many processes are pre-programed. There are never any residual lumps of ice or other frozen product in

    a smoothie.

The new stainless steel Cuisinart CBT-700 Die-Cast 700-Watt Blender replaced my 15 year old chrome Oster Blender that I sent out to the poolside bar for use. The new Cuisinart has surpassed all of my expectations. I love the glass jar and all the options. It works wonderfully. It also completes my shopping spree over the last year as I have replaced all of my small kitchen appliances to the Cuisinart brand. I have a total of 11 of them. I have had no trouble with any of these Cuisinart products and I couldn’t be any more happier with my choices.

While the blender worked it was awesome. Problem is, it only worked 31 days. 1 day over the amazon return policy. As other reviewers have mentioned, I cold detect the smell of an electrical fire, saw a little smoke, and that was it… DOA.

I have returned the product to Cuisinart, but now after they have had it for 3 1/2 weeks, have been informed that may take from 4-8 weeks to either replace or return the item.

I purchased the blender because I prefer the larger glass bowl, and it did an excellent job of processing the food. It is very loud on the high settings.
