Does anyone have any good smoothie recipes?

Category: Smoothie Q&A

I don’t want anything with milk or yoghurt and usually just have red berries (strawberry cranberry etc) with kiwi and banana. I use orange juice to dilute. Does anyone have any tasty ideas?
Thanks!

Hi! You could use like soy-milk and mix it with berries, bananas and more.. I prefer strawberries, blueberries and raspberries=)

Hmm I cant give specifics cuz I dont know how big your blender is,um half-3/4 full of frozen bluberries/strawberries/any other fruit you want ( It doesnt have to be frozen but I find it easier than using ice), fill 3/4 of the way with any fruit juice(strawberry kiwi is good,or grapefruit juice for a little kick), add a scoop of ice cream (optional but I think it tastes better).
    Mix and enjoy!

Smoothies usually work well with fruits and either milk or yoghurt is used as the base liquid in making them. Try substituting water instead, blend it with ice and use whatever you fancy in making them besides using berries. Using fruits that have lots of liquid in them like watermelons and starfruit, water is to be reduced.
If fruits that are sour is used, you may need to add in some sugar syrup.
The blending for a smoothie is like this, if the concoction is able to spin well in a blender without having to stop and mix it, then it is perfect.
Then there is the liking to have rough ice or smooth. If you like having smooth ice, blend it long enough for it. Experience would teach you what you like.
