Does anyone know any good smoothie recipes for a blender?

Category: Smoothie Q&A

I just got a blender a few days ago.
I have never had one before so I’m wondering what kinds of smoothies I can make. My mom tried putting watermelon and then when it didn’t chop (mush) my sister added some milk. It tasted nasty!!! After that, I tried putting a bunch of grapes by itself and that tasted bad too. Is there any simple recipes I can use like…

Strawberry+Milk or Banana+Mango (I’m making this up)
And can you include if I should add ice to make it taste better? Thanks!!!
- Nina is here! :D

    1 banana
    1/2 c frozen blueberries
    3/4 c milk
    1 Tablespoon peanut butter

Put everything in the blender and blend for about 15-20 seconds until the lumps are gone. Quick and easy.

    BEST STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE

4 large strawberries, fresh or frozen
    1/2 c. milk
    1 ripe banana
    5 ice cubes
    1 1/2 tsp sugar (opt.)

Combine strawberries, milk and ice. Blend until perfectly smooth. Add sugar. Blend for 1 minute.
    Makes approximately 32 oz.

Add about 1 cup of frozen strawberries (defrosted), about 1/2 cup of orange sherbert, about 1/2 cup of orange juice and about 2 cups of ice. Blend until smooth and yummy yum. Tastiness.

A great way to do smoothies is to add your favorite sherbert or sorbet…raspberry, lime, lemon, orange, etc. Adds a little umph. Yum!

    “Uncle Bingo’s Master Blaster”
    Chocolate ice cream
    fudge sauce
    orange juice
fresh pineapple…. I serve this at my restaurant at U.C. Berkeley and the kids love it, can’t seem to make ‘nough of ‘em.

get some vanilla or plain yogurt, milk, ice, and then add whatever fruit (or you can add some chocolate or vanilla protein powder) you want. Grapes and watermelon do not make smoothies. Use any kind of berry (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry…) and bananas and peaches work well too. Start with something simple, like banana, strawberry, yogurt, ice, then experiment.

I make blended smoothies everymorning using what i have. Any kind of fresh fruit..mix them up. Its all good for you. Then you will need to add a little juice..doesnt matter what flavor. Ice. And i usually throw either some yogurt in there or a slim-fast. You can put the Carnation instant breakfast powder in too!! If you dont have fresh fruit..use canned. Just use your imagination for a tasty, healthy treat any time of day!
