I guess that is true if it is dried out completely during the juicing process. Mine is usually pretty wet bc I have to use a blender and a paint strainer to make my green juice.

@ANappturalBeauty I can’t imagine it would taste good with all the juice (flavour) having been extracted through juicing?

You are missing out. It is about the same as simply making a green smoothie. You add the pulp to a fruit smoothie so it isn’t just waste. The video was great though.

@Irisheyes77christy It’s simply about getting more nutrients into the body more quickly and easily. Most people do not chew well or eat enough fresh produce, juicing takes care of that.

have you ever tried using the pulp to make flax seed crackers or putting it in a green smoothie later in the day?

I am curious, is there a difference between juicing and just eating the food whole? It looks like you wasted/lose of the food by juicing. Plus, it is not in it’s natural form. I do not know a lot about this, so maybe I am missing the point here.

@metaspherz Yes, sometimes I do re-introduce the wet pulp back in but have not found it to make a massive amount of difference. The Champion is limited in what it can extract however many times you put it back through, but it’s still my favourite juicer.

@theprokofiev Mine came with the Oscar juicer (also known as Samson)… ring up a juicer supplier and see if they will sell you one separately – most will : )

Hi Karen, Thanks for your films they’re very helpful. I’ve just started juicing having bought a vital max juicier but I’m after a jug with a sieve like yours, would you tell me where you bought it or did it come with the champion?
Thanks.

Please note: It’s common practice with the Champion as with most auger-type (single & dual) extractors to reintroduce the wetter pulp back through the feed tube for even greater extraction. My experience with dual augers is that it’s less necessary. I started juicing in the late sixties with a food grinder and apple cider press thanks to my father’s health food stores. We used reusable cloth bags or cheesecloth. The pulp after pressing was always dry as a brick. Btw we never juiced greens.

Fresh juice is one of the most perishable foods there is. Think how fast sliced apples brown. Air & enzymes begin to cause oxidated injury to phytonutrients & some vitamins almost immediately after juicing. Adding an acid like lemon juice or a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar will help to keep nutrients up to 24 hours. 2 – 8 hours for leafy green juice. Store the leftover juice in the fridge in an opaque glass container filled to the top with a tight lid. Store in a full thermos to take to work.

I noticed you had some juice left over, would it keep for the whole day? Like to take the remainder to work?

Karen,
I have a Jack Lalanne juicer that seems to leave the pulp a little wet also. The juiceman juicer I’ve had for 7yrs seems to have drier pulp. However you have to cut the fruits & veggies with the juiceman.
I keep the juiceman in work & Jack’s at home.
Have you used any other juicers?

Looks like it needs to be diluted with water. I’m juice fasting right now and the juices are soooooo tasty that I have no cravings for anything else. Juice fasting is definitely easier than the master cleanse or water fast.
