Green Smoothie 101 : Smoothie Smoothies Recipes

Green Smoothie 101

One of the POSITIVE habits I have managed to maintain for more than 6 months is my Green SMoothie habit~ Green Smoothies are a perfect way to get almost all of your Fruit and Veg servings in all in one meal. You can vary the fruits and greens. Start out slowly and don’t drink a whole blender full if you are not currently getting THIS much fiber in your diet, or you will have some major gastrointestinal issues….build yourself up to drinking a whole blender full~ Health Benefits of Green …

Nice video, I’m a smoothie girl too! I like to add super foods like blue green algae, cacao and maca in addition to my fruits and veggies.

Karla, Thank you for showing this method to prepare “Green Smoothies.” Would you be able to estimate the calorie content for this for me (with the flax seed)? Also, did you use non-fat plain or vanilla yoghurt? Thank you! Keep up the GREAT spirit!!!

It’s a great way to get all your servings in, plus you cannot taste the greens…make sure you put a banana in and the green taste is gone~ I like to vary the fruit sometimes, and I ususually put in kale and sometime mustard greens too~ I will be posting more to come~ Good Luck, I will check out your video~ :-)

Hmmm… I’ve never put vegetables into a smoothie… I’ve never even heard of someone doing that! I must try it, I juice veg – carrot, celery, cucumber, peppers and two apples too and for me it’s like drinking poison lol but I’m getting used to it! I usually only put fruit in smoothies, along with some mixed nuts to really thicken it and some powdered flaxseed mixed with other seeds in it. I’m going to be making a weight loss vlog this evening! Looking forward to it! :)

Well…it depends on what you put in it…but approx. 400 cal. or so….it’s not for people who don’t LIKE to drink your calories, but I find it worth it due to getting ALL my fruit and veg over with before 10AM….. :-)

I will have to try this out, I find it very hard to get my veg in so drinking them might be my answer. Thanks for the vid.
