Recipe for a great Stawberry Smoothie?

Category: Smoothie Q&A

I’m wanting a Stawberry smoothie, a strawberry milkshake recipe would be better but we don’t have any ice cream so if you have either of those recipes without ice cream in them it will really help!

    Strawberry Soda Smoothie
1 (10 ounce) package frozen strawberries
    6 ounces frozen pineapple-orange concentrate
1 (2 litre) bottle ginger ale or lemon-lime soda

Mix strawberries and pineapple-orange concentrate in blender; add ginger ale.

    Sparkling Strawberry-Lime Shake

    Ingredients
2 cups (10 ounces) frozen whole unsweetened strawberries
1-1/4 cups lime-flavored sparkling water, divided
1/4 cup whipping cream or half-and-half
    1 tablespoon sugar substitute
    Lime wedges or slices

    1. Place strawberries in blender; allow to thaw 5 minutes before proceeding. Add 1 cup sparkling water, cream and sugar substitute. Cover; blend until smooth, scraping down side of blender once or twice (mixture will be thick).

    2. Gently stir in remaining sparkling water; pour into 2 glasses. Garnish with lime wedges.

Variations For a tropical variation, add 1 teaspoon banana extract and/or 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract along with the cream. For a rum-flavored drink add 1/2 teaspoon rum extract.
Tip For quick shakes anytime, wash, hull and freeze whole strawberries in a tightly covered container.

    Strawberry-Banana

    Yogurt
    5-6 Strawberries
    Banana
2-3 Tablespoons o Flax Seed Powder
    Honey-sweeten to taste
    Ice

I always blend the softer ingredients until smooth then add ice until slightly stiff.

If you want a more Strawberry Flavor:
Instead of a banana, use a small apple. And a few more strawberries.
