Refreshing Summer Raw Smoothie Recipe Cilantro Surprise #34

www.therenegadehealthshow.com – This raw smoothie recipe is by far the best one we’ve done on the show… I personally treat cilantro like a fruit. It tastes so fresh and amazing.

There is really no exact measurements for smoothies, as it’s all to taste. If you’re new to green smoothies then start off with only a small amount of greens and then build up the quantity gradually over time.

    The blender is a vitamix

On one of your Q&A shows, could you tell or show how much greens you should put in a smoothie. When using kale, spinach, cilantro, parsley, etc. I am not sure how much “a bunch” is when a recipe calls for it. I used 8 stems of cilantro this morning but it looked like yall only put a few leaves in yours. I’d rather not over do it any more than necessary. Thanks!

I admire what you guys are doing although it would be nice to see a balance of gender roles … getting men in the kitchen doing the food thing is one of my goals in life … good role modeling for our sons. Kevin, give up the camera and put on an apron and get your hands dirty. Well, not really dirty, but messy at least.

I buy raw nuts and seeds on-line. From what I’ve heard none of the nuts and seeds that are sold in stores that say “RAW” are actually raw so I figure that it’s worth it to just buy them in bulk on-line. (I’ve noticed that things like Raw Almonds and Raw Cashews that I order on-line look a lot VERY different than the ones sold in regular stores. They are usually a lot bigger and taste different too.) Other than Raw nuts and seeds I can find everything else I need at the health food stores.
