sorry for the slow reply. Totally true…especially the root barks. Very cleansing. I think they mean months and months of use.

I totally advise everyone to read about each herb before deciding to add it to your personal “mix”…

This was pretty complex, but I priced it out and each serving was about $4 a day. Not bad, right???

Buy in bulk and the savings are massive.

i have NOOOOO idea. Dont sweat little details like that….it can overwhelm some people.

If there is lots of cacao, the orac is plenty high.

But yeah…dont let the numbers drag you down.

Any ideas what’s the orac value per serving? Appreciate if you could provide it:)

This is a nice video and a good idea. Now, as my budget has mightily tightened, I wonder about the cost of an array of nutrients like yours. Also, is there a way to get the superfood benefits with less ingredients?

Thanks so much! Great video, especially the raw food suppliers. I’m always on the lookout for those. Keep the video’s coming! Ginny

Some are too hard on the liver and some other organs….like the tree barks especially. I agree…I take it easy on those. Its good that you noticed that. Long term use might be considered months….maybe a few weeks wouldnt be a huge deal, but thats up to each on of us to figure out.

Hi! Thanks for the great video. I am interested in getting started enjoying the benefits of a superfood smoothie. I was checking out some of these herbs at mountain rose herbs and they suggest that some of these herbs shouldn’t be taken on a regular basis- how would you respond to that?
    Thanks!
    Sarah

Hey Anthony, thanks for sharing your idea on using a jar.. dont know how I never thought of this before, it just makes sense. Also, thanks for telling me about mountain rose herbs, they have a huge selection with detailed information and great prices. You mentioned in your video that you keep the jar in the fridge, do you keep all of the individual superfoods refrigerated as well? I keep my bee pollen in the fridge but not my spirulina.

I would really like the recipe you have on your video for super fudge and what are the
ingredients you mention that you put in the jar I believe you make it for a smoothie. Also
where can I buy all these ingredients? Thanks

  13. Rawmodel on January 13th, 2009 6:04 pm

I usually buy a pound at a time…each pound will last me MONTHS. MONTHS. Its ridiculous. And trust me…it tastes GOOD. Ask anyone who went to the We Like it Raw retreat.

Ive seen those two herbs available as pill form…I figured eating it has to be better than nothing. I dont heat anything anymore. He is probably right though…experiment for yourself…

  15. Rawmodel on January 19th, 2009 7:39 pm

Come on…its all mentioned in the video. Especially the list of places.

  16. underneaththeveneer on January 21st, 2009 9:58 am

Could you make a list of all the ingredients you used? Not sure I know how to spell all you mentioned.

  17. Worthwhiles on January 22nd, 2009 8:25 am

this is such a great idea! I’m into a green juice in the morning, but would love to get some more superfoods in the mix. Thanks anthony!

Wow, thanks for this way to make our lives easier! Before, I’ve only seen the Cats Claw & Pau D’Arco only as a tea extraction- another teacher (DW) has said to make it as a tea b/c you need high temperature to extract the fat-soluable components of the herb. Can you comment please? Can you get the same effect from eating the dried herb? It would sure be a lot easier! Thanks also for giving the best resources to get all the ingredients!

Funny. I just got the MRE catalog at the Natural Food Expo, they were right next to us and I was browsing through it (just bought coconut oil) and looked you up to see you buy their stuff. It doesn’t look good…but I will buy all this stuff and try it out. How much of this stuff do you buy at a time?

  20. cmchapman75 on January 28th, 2009 4:21 am

Can you post of a list of all those things you added?? I would really like to know. And a list of the places you got everything. thanks!!

  21. BlacklitFloater on January 30th, 2009 7:46 am

    u are hawt.

oh, and that aside, thanks for the great tip! It’s always good to see quick and easy ways to get healthy stuff into your day, especially for a recent switcher to raw foods from a SAD like me, and many other americans who want to be healthy, but don’t want to use a lot of time!

  22. yardsnacker on February 2nd, 2009 5:50 am

Brilliant! If people only knew how great these things make you feel!

  23. titalita10003 on February 2nd, 2009 11:19 pm

that sounds pretty good. i’ll have to try to buy some of this stuff in bulk! :)

  24. Rawmodel on February 5th, 2009 3:13 pm

You’d be suprised…if you buy in bulk, its not bad. And you feel so good, that it doesnt even become an option anymore. Each serving is about $3.

You couldnt get this in a smoothie bar EVER.

    Gotta love the Do-It-Yourself Ethos…

  25. titalita10003 on February 6th, 2009 7:21 am

wow. that looks good but quite expensive.
