I’m just curious if freezing the fruit makes them taste better or something…because every recipe I find for making fruit smoothies says to use frozen fruit. What if you don’t use them frozen?

It makes the smoothie thick. Fresh fruit will have a lot of juice and by freezing it, it will be ice and therefore make a thicker smoothie.

Sure … use the sherbet. You may not need ice then, since the sherbet is frozen, and the milk will be cold. DON’T use raw eggs! Besides being disgusting tasting, you can get very sick from eating raw eggs……

If you freeze the fruit you can do it with just milk but I personaly do not think they are as tasty.

I do frozen berrys, milk, and yogurt somtimes I toss in frozen bananas.

If you dont want ice freeze the fruit, Other then that the only rule you have is milk. And you can mix just about anything with it.

So, I get a bag of frozen mixed fruit, I dump it into a blender, add some fruit punch, hit the big button, and I get a bunch of blended stuff on the bottom, and none of the stuff on the top blend. I can never seem to actually get all of it blended! So I either have to blend it in small bits, or I just get frustrated and throw away the mess of half-chopped fruit pieces. How in the world do you do it correctly?
