2 Healthy Snacks That You And Your Body Will Love
Eating healthy shouldn’t be boring, there are a ton of choices out there that are just waiting for you to find them and jot them down. Instead of having ice cream or cake for a snack, get creative and start making your own smoothies. Or get the veggies out and make a snack tray. Preparing just a little in advance will help you eat healthier even when you want a snack.
Your snack foods don’t have to taste like cardboard to be good for you. Personally, I think some of the best tasting foods I eat are the healthiest. Keep in mind that any food that’s completely unprocessed is extremely healthy. So if you throw a bunch of fruit together in a blender you’ll have a delicious smoothie with no guilt attached.
Here’s two quick recipe that take just minutes and are tasty little snack that will help you stay full and keep healthy.
Berry-Banana Smoothie:
Throw the following ingredients into a blender and blend it up good:
1/2 pear with no core
1/2 frozen banana (frozen for consistency)
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1 scoop high quality protein powder
1 tbsp skim milk (or skim milk powder)
1 1/4 cup water (mix in ice to thicken)
Waalaa! Super tasty smoothie filled with healthy stuff that you should be eating anyway.
Ants on a Log:
This is a classic snack that is very good for you. All you do here is fill up celery sticks with peanut butter and put raisins on em. Try to get natural peanut butter that doesn’t have hydrogenated oil in it.
