I ordered this book to give to my mother in law as a Christmas gift. She specifically asked for a recipe book for smoothies. I read the reviews and thought I would love the book. The book arrived today in horrible condition. I bought it new, but because it was shipped in just a bubble wrapped manila envelope. The book arrived bent and torn. I cannot give this as a gift anymore and I regret buying it online!!

I got this book several weeks ago and I love it! The directions are easy to follow and many of the juices just have a couple of ingredients instead of 10 like some of the other books I’ve had. I also like that it tells you what nutrition that you get out of it so it helps you pick which juice you want that day. I recommend this book for anyone especially if you’re just starting out juicing because it explains everything so well.

Having never juiced anything but citrus before and making smoothies i knew the transition might be intimidating. I purchased this book BEFORE purchasing the juicer (Breville 800JEXL) and the book WAS my inspiration. As others have said, it is laid out systematically and even some of the recipes have commentary to help you make the leap into more earthy concoctions, such as with beets.

We have made about 15 of the recipes so far and are delighted each time.

I bought this book as a step to start juicing more. Every book I find on juicing may contain helpful info but the organization is always lacking. Most recipes in these books are organized by your ailment, not here. The book has a great spiral spine so you can lay it flat while you follow a recipe. I have tried many recipes in this book and almost all of them have been really yummy even when I may not have all the ingredients on hand. The very best part of this book is the organization. If you have a ton of apples or oranges in the fruit bowl, this book is organized by fruit. It has these great little icons in the middle of the outside edge and you flip through quickly to see what recipe you want. The pages are shiny and colorful which most book lovers like to see. Even though this book is not organized by illness, it does have an index on what to drink for a certain problem.

After looking at lots of juicing books, this seemed the best for me. Further these recipes are simple and have ingredients most people have on hand. Some juicing books have exotic recipes and when you are just starting out, it is easier to juice when it is simple and you have it on hand.

This book is interesting and full of colorful pictures of some of the recipes. I also like the star rating system as to what the juice provides to the user. It is easy to use and I have had a lot fun trying different ones.
