Since all the other virtues of this machine have been talked about already I’d like to add that this is fantastic for specialized diets. Our toddler son is allergic to eggs, nuts and dairy. So with this we’re able to whip up all sorts of things that are similar to what his friends are consuming (and even sneak in lots of nutrition to things like his soy ice cream shakes). As a parent I cannot say enough how fast this thing works, how easy it is to clean and how sturdy it is. We use this AT LEAST once a day and usually far more. Us parents use it to make our wheat grass shots (we strain out the pulp that is not digestible), smoothies, milkshakes, soups,make homemade ice cream and grind grains/flax seed, etc. LOVE our Vitamix.

Wow. I don’t need to say much – because its already been said, really. This blender is a total workhorse – it just decimates raw beets, carrots, apples with their seeds – and it makes stuff that you cringe to eat when u are a recovering sugar and junk-food-a-holic — taste great! I have been wanting a blender like this for at least 7 years, ever since I was 19/20 years old and my dad purchased one. The price is steep – but it was love at first blend. You don’t really need the multi speed one in my opinion. The only time for me so far that I would have wanted that, is when I am making a blend with a small quantity, cuz even the low speed kinda blasts everything all over the jug – so make sure that cap is on tight! Otherwise – man, it just doesn’t get any better. This blender gives you bragging rights.

I bought this after purchasing a juicer and realizing that was not what we needed. My folks had a Vita-Mix when I was young but I never used it. So I had some history with the product. I did my research and came to the conclusion that this was the right machine to do the job. So the price was a little high but as far as what you get for your money then it is actually a great buy. Made in the US which was a huge plus.
This blender rocks. I have used it every day since we bought it and I love, love, love it. Can’t wait for summer to try some ice cream like things.
Don’t even bother with the other blenders – just get this one. Another big plus is that the container, while plastic, is BPA FREE. Company did their job and took care of that.

This blender does it all and everything it claims, I use it with Raw Food Cleanse book by Penni Shelton and the Recipe book that comes with the blender and make some great recipes
