What are some good vegan smoothie recipes?

Category: Smoothie Q&A

I love to make smoothies, but i’m not much for milk or yogurt bases (or anything with bananas). Any suggestions? I’m looking for something new. I’ve got a good blender.

My girls and I love making what we call, “Berry Good Smoothies”.
We use a mixture of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, (You can use whatever berries you like) with an equal amount of ice and about 1/4 cup of honey.
For a finishing touch and great flavor enhancer, toss in a little bit of chopped up, fresh mint.
    Blend well and enjoy!

Quite a few of the other recipes have honey in them and, technically speaking, are not vegan. I make smoothies all the time and include whatever fruits I like with soy or oat or almond milk, sometimes even coconut milk. I also sometimes add non-bonechar sugar or organic chocolate syrup. An easy recipe is a blender filled with strawberries and blueberries (probably almost 4 cups of strawberries and one 4 oz pack of blueberries), soy milk to fill, and a good ****** of chocolate syrup:) You can also add ground flax seed or flax seed oil for some omega 3′s!
